Bosch Cooktop Error Codes & Suggested Solutions

There are many Bosch appliances and in certain situations these appliances could either stop working or start working incorrectly. TAS Canada is here to help with that. On this page you will find a list of Bosch Error Codes for Cook top (Stove) and related error codes with solutions, which can help you  solve the problem with your Bosch Home Appliance.


Please Note that before every repair you should disconnect the appliance from the mains for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect. If a fault display is still present, carry out diagnosis and troubleshooting.

  • General fault codes . Glass ceramic is damp in the area of the touch key Dry and clean the glass ceramic. Object on the touch key. Remove the object

E Continuous operation of touch key See operating instructions (no fault). Childproof lock was inadvertently activated by the user. Press the childproof lock key until the signal sounds (appliance ready for operation again). Automatic childproof lock is switched ON. Switch off the childproof lock in the basic settings (C1)

N Key symbol Childproof lock See operating instructions (no fault). Basic settings were not restored. Run customer service program P2

h / H (resetting to factory settings) or 0 immediately after switching on Virtual residual heat indicator.. Time shown in the residual heat indicator (prior to a mains reset) had not yet completely expired Residual heat indicator goes out of its own accord after a maximum of 60 minutes: h / H or 0 after activation and setting of frying sensor Frying sensor can be activated and set; settings are not applied, however. Defective component. Replace faulty components. Faulty wiring (discontinuity, short circuit, contact resistance, incorrectly plugged). Check all lines and plug connections between electronic components.

1.After a while, the cooking zone was switched off automatically by the cooking time limiter The cooking zone can be operated again immediately. The time depends on the selected heat setting (1 to 10 hours without setting change). See User manual (no faults).
