Problem: Dryer not starting

► Soluonti: You put wet clothes into the dryer and turn the dryer on (start button), but dryer is not starting. Often the thermal fuse could be blown and needs to be replaced. Another issue could be because of the door switch – if the door is not closing correctly or the door switch is not functioning then the dryer will not start. Incoming power is also a common reason why dryer won’t start, but if you see any lights on the dryer then this is not the case. Be careful not to overload your dryer as well.

Problem: Dryer is not heating

► Solution: If the dryer appears to be working (spinning) but not “drying” clothes then there are few things that need to be checked. One reason could be because the thermal fuse is blown and therefore it will have to be replaced. The heater (heating element) could be faulty as it could burn out over a period of time and it needs to be replaced. Finally it could be the cycling thermostat which controls the temperature in the dryer. If the cycling thermostat is faulty it will alter the proper operation of the dryer machine.
